Liminal Education
The curriculum, based on 20 years of experience, is designed to challenge and support each
student individually. We deliver accelerated progress so that students achieve meaningful
accredited outcomes that enable a successful transition into post 16 options.
See below for more details on our teaching and curriculum.
We will ensure that all students are effectively supported through a timely response to identification of needs. Initially this will be supported through Quality First Teaching either on an individual or small group basis with
a ratio no greater than 5 students and 1 staff. Where necessary, additional targeted support in line with the referring school or authorities SEND policy and in conjunction with any external agencies will also be provided.
This will relate to bespoke targets that incorporate any statuary requirements from SEND support services.
If a student has an EHCP, Liminal Education will ensure appropriate adaptations are incorporated into the curriculum and teaching styles are appropriately amended where necessary. This will ensure that accurate progress can be shared and reviewed during Annual Reviews and with appropriate agencies. We are also aware of the barriers that students
often face when needing to attend an AP, so the development of skills is
of fundamental importance to enable students to reengage with their mainstream setting to prevent a permanent exclusion, or to ensure progress is not impacted following an exclusion.
